How do I accept BCEL OnePay online?
Short answer
Put your receiving QR from BCEL One (a LAO QR) on the shop's checkout: the customer scans it in their banking app, pays, and uploads the slip to the order. The money lands in your own BCEL account directly; LaoCart takes no commission. On LaoCart it is one setting: upload the QR picture under “Settings” → “Payment”.
How OnePay payment works on an online shop
Your receiving QR in BCEL One is a LAO QR — it can be paid from BCEL One and from other Lao banking apps that support LAO QR. The shop shows that QR to the customer when they confirm the order, with the amount to transfer; the customer transfers and attaches the slip to the order, so nothing has to be sent through chat any more.
Set it up on LaoCart
- 1Go to “Settings” → “Payment” and upload the QR image of your account
- 2Enter the account name and the bank exactly as they are
- 3The customer transfers and uploads a photo of the slip on their order page
- 4You open the order, check the money in your banking app, then set the status to “Paid”
Check the money, not the slip
Automatic confirmation
Confirming a payment by itself through the bank's API is planned for the Pro plan and as an add-on (coming soon). Until then, confirming is one tap in the dashboard once you have seen the money.
Cash on delivery as well
If a customer would rather not transfer, the shop can take cash on delivery — the delivery company collects the money and passes it on to you. See Cash on delivery.
Common questions
Does the customer need BCEL One?
Not necessarily — any Lao banking app that scans LAO QR can pay. BCEL One is the most widely used one in Laos.
Are there fees?
LaoCart takes no commission on your sales. Any transfer fee is between you and your bank.
Can a customer abroad pay?
A LAO QR is paid from a Lao banking app. With a customer abroad you agree a way to transfer in chat, then confirm the order when the money arrives.
The prices on this page come straight from LaoCart's price list and are always the current ones. See the price table
